The Circle: All about Travel

So Today we are linking up with one of our awesome monthly contributors and dear blogging friend Kiki from In it's Time. This months linkup is all about Travel, Kiki and her co-host have asked: to either share a dream trip or share a favorite trip that we have already been on. 
What's my favorite trip? My family and I take a family trip to Siesta Key, Florida every year in May, and it's definitely one of my favorite trips. We are going back this year in may, but i would love to go with friends. Sit on beach and soak up the sun all day, that sounds good to me.
 
 
 
My dream trip would be to Hawaii, I've always wanted to go. I've only seen it in pictures and it looks so beautiful! Also i think it would be fun to go to NYC on a blogging retreat, so i could meet some my blogging friends. We could have a week filled with talking about jesus and sharing our hearts with each other over coffee and good food. That would be a so nice.

    Ooh, you picked some great places! I've been to Hawaii twice (I actually have some relatives on the islands) and aside from all of the tourists, it really is a beautiful state to visit. Maybe the blogging retreat could be there? :)

    And the family trips to Florida sound beautiful! I've never heard of Siesta Key but that sunset photo is so pretty.

Currently Vol. 7

HEARTING:  The new cookbooks and baking books i got for Christmas this year. I made chocolate cupcakes with salted caramel frosting out  of Homemade Decadence by Joy the baker and they were so good!  READING: Catching up on some of my favorite blogs: Oh Simple Thoughts , Wetherills say I Do , and Dearest Love . Also reading the She Reads Truth Esther study.  PINNING: I pinned these cranberry white chocolate oatmeal cookies and i can't wait to make them this weekend! So there may be a recipe on the blog next week!  EATING: I made tomatoe basil soup for my friends and I the other night. It was so good and they loved it as well, which was a plus.  I just finished it yesterday.  ANTICIPATING: Going home for spring break in March, it will be nice to be home for a week. Four Tips for Creating Community through Blogging

1. Reach out to other bloggers:  this is an  essential when wanting to get into community. It can be as small as a comment on their blog, or an email. I have built relationships with other bloggers through email, commenting on their blogs, etc. For me it has been a beneficial thing, to create community in something that I really didn't know there was any.   This is a great post on why bloggers need community.  2. Join a blog group on Facebook, or some other social media group: I have joined the Peony Project on facebook which is a group for other christian bloggers. It's a great group and i would definitely recommend it!  3. Make meaningful comments: when I say meaningful comments I don't mean that you have to write a novel, but at least engage with the post somehow. Currently Vol: 1

Today I am linking up again with Jenna of Dearest Love and Ann of In Residence for their currently linkup. You can read my post from last time here on my personal blog , then go over to Jenna or Anne's blog and linkup your post! I usually linkup with my personal blog but I figured I would change it up a bit and also add a bit of variety to the Quiet Place. So here's what I'm currently writing, anticipating, wearing, craving, missing, and encouraged by. Writing: a ton of notes, cause I am currently in Grad school. Anticipating : Fall. I love how the leaves change and temperatures get cooler. Although, It's been pretty hot here in Virginia this week, so hopefully the fall weather will come soon!
