December Swap Feature: Christmas Wish List

Today we have four out of the five lovely ladies on our sidebar this month and since it's Christmas time we are asking them, "what's on your Christmas wish list?".  On my Christmas wish list i have some simple things, just cause I will be moving in January.  Be sure to check out each of their blogs at the links below!

                   

What's On Your Christmas Wish List?



Samantha: I love making Christmas wishlists! I'm actually constantly adding fun items to my Amazon wishlist. Because we don't live near family we always travel back to our home town for the holidays and that is always on the top of my wishlist. Before any other items I'm always hoping that we are able to travel home and we have been blessed to be able to do so sense we've been married.

Christina: I'm really hoping my husband builds me a faux fireplace mantle this year. Our house didn't come with a fireplace, but I've always loved the look of them, even if they don't work. I'm hoping he received all 6,746 hints I've dropped already :)

Katrina: My favorite children's book growing up was "The Quiltmaker's Gift", so I'm hoping to get my own copy this christmas. Also on the list: Candles, gloves, and CHOCOLATE, always chocolate.

Christina M: I have a whole wish list I'm hoping for, but specifically I would be the happiest girl in all the land if Mr. Main surprised me with any of these items! This ring, this kitty tipi, this cute dish towel set, this mint batter bowl, and/or these gorgeous bobby pins from my girl, Olivia!

Four Tips for Creating Community through Blogging

1. Reach out to other bloggers:  this is an  essential when wanting to get into community. It can be as small as a comment on their blog, or an email. I have built relationships with other bloggers through email, commenting on their blogs, etc. For me it has been a beneficial thing, to create community in something that I really didn't know there was any.   This is a great post on why bloggers need community.  2. Join a blog group on Facebook, or some other social media group: I have joined the Peony Project on facebook which is a group for other christian bloggers. It's a great group and i would definitely recommend it!  3. Make meaningful comments: when I say meaningful comments I don't mean that you have to write a novel, but at least engage with the post somehow.
