Grace Goes Before Me

He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time... 
2 Timothy 1:9

This month's theme is grace, and it's my favorite topic. Grace is so amazing! Nothing I could have ever asked for would have amounted to the Grace God gives us.

Grace is humbling, it reminds me that I don't have what I have because I earned it, I have it because it was given to me by God. 

Grace is redeeming, it reminds me that God is the restorer of my soul, that he makes all things new, and that I am not a lost cause. 

Grace is empowering, God's grace gives us His spirit and allows us to be new and in return to share grace with the people around us. 

Grace is unending, it doesn't run out, and it never will. Christ's love for us provides us Grace for the way. His death on the cross put Grace before us, that we might walk with God. 

Lord, 
Today help me to remember that grace goes before me, that you have cleansed my heart and made me new. Help me to walk with you as you bind up my heart and make me new. As I walk with you, help me to show Grace to others, especially when I don't want to, because you first loved me.
In Jesus Name, Amen.

Four Tips for Creating Community through Blogging

1. Reach out to other bloggers:  this is an  essential when wanting to get into community. It can be as small as a comment on their blog, or an email. I have built relationships with other bloggers through email, commenting on their blogs, etc. For me it has been a beneficial thing, to create community in something that I really didn't know there was any.   This is a great post on why bloggers need community.  2. Join a blog group on Facebook, or some other social media group: I have joined the Peony Project on facebook which is a group for other christian bloggers. It's a great group and i would definitely recommend it!  3. Make meaningful comments: when I say meaningful comments I don't mean that you have to write a novel, but at least engage with the post somehow.
