Immense Intensity

Founders Note: Today on the blog we have are monthly contributor Buife, she is sharing her heart on this month's theme Joy.

There is a greater degree at which we recognize God's awesomeness and blessings upon our lives when there is a tangible evidence of it. Our testimonies are (usually) more likely to be, 'praise God, I just got a job, bought a house, car, I'm getting married, I'm expecting a baby etc.' than 'I praise God for the soul peace He's been granting me through these trying times.'

But at all times, we must be able to recognize that as long as we have Christ Jesus, we are blessed, greatly blessed.

2 Corinthians 1:20 ESV says, For all the promises of God find their Yes in Him. That is why it is through Him that we utter our Amen to God for His glory.

The Amplified version reads like this; For as many as are the promises of God, they all find their Yes [answer] in Him [Christ]. For this reason we also utter the Amen (so be it) to God through Him [in His Person and by His agency] to the glory of God.

The 'Him' is Jesus Christ. Having Jesus Christ in our lives is like a pass code to the door of God's promises to us. Therefore, even when it seems like nothing is working out for us, we can be sure that God is only taking us through a path of trial and endurance to perfect a virtuous character in us.

And lady, does the bible have a heavy dose of God's promises? Whoa! We can't even begin to imagine.

From the great beginning in Genesis where He blessed us with His great Light to the beautiful Revelation(s) of a loving Savior to His beloved church, you and I of the crystal bliss we will be embarrassed with when He returns.

What really matters now is our response to such sparse a land of promise. Do we rub ash on our faces, looking gloomy like though we have anything of this world? Do we live like heaven's economy is determined and run by the world's?

Or do we lift up our eyes to beyond the hills whence our help come from? Do we lift up our souls to our Hope in years to come?

We can really be joyful and be at rest even in the drought knowing that 'He knoweth the way that I take: when He hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.' (Job 23:10, KJV)

Who doesn't love to have some gold? More importantly and glittering, who doesn't want to be gold?

I do and I bet you do too.

That's something to rejoice about - knowing that God's desire and where His will and actions are taking us is through the channels of beautification, a spiritual spa.

We should this July, and always, bath up and walk tall for whether in the palace, in the field, or in the battle front, a daughter of the King of kings will always be a princess.

Again, who doesn't dream of becoming royalty? Well, in Jesus, we all are!

The Wetherills Say I Do | Guest Post

Founders Note: Today on the blog we have one of our August sponsors Madison of The Wetherills Say I Do . She is also one of my blogging friends, I have enjoyed working with her this month and am excited to continue in the future, she is a sweet girl with a big heart for others and Jesus! Today She is sharing her heart on this months theme: Beauty in the Brokenness. So be sure to check out her blog at the links below! If you've ever heard a group of people share their testimonies, a lot of them have a common thread: brokenness. A lot of now believers had to come to a very low point in their lives before they had their breaking moment of calling out to Jesus. Have you ever wondered why that is? Why is it that so many of us have to hit rock bottom before we'll realize our infinite need for a Savior? I don't know the answer to that question, but I do know that in my darkest moments, I've seen the Lord hand out grace and turn brokenness into beauty. We all tend t...

Four Tips for Creating Community through Blogging

1. Reach out to other bloggers:  this is an  essential when wanting to get into community. It can be as small as a comment on their blog, or an email. I have built relationships with other bloggers through email, commenting on their blogs, etc. For me it has been a beneficial thing, to create community in something that I really didn't know there was any.   This is a great post on why bloggers need community.  2. Join a blog group on Facebook, or some other social media group: I have joined the Peony Project on facebook which is a group for other christian bloggers. It's a great group and i would definitely recommend it!  3. Make meaningful comments: when I say meaningful comments I don't mean that you have to write a novel, but at least engage with the post somehow. Check out Madison's post on how to comment on blogs to find out more.  4. Plan a blogger Meetup : ...
