Currently Vol. 5



Listening: to Ellie Holcomb, and a little NeedtoBreathe.

Wrapping: well i haven't started wrapping anything yet, but that will get done soon. I've been kinda busy getting the last bit of school work done.

Making: I want to make these almond joy cookies that my mom made, and they are so good! So hopefully now that I'm done with school work i can do that.

Watching:  Gilmore Girls. I love to watch that show when I'm blogging.

Anticipating: Everything that comes with Christmas and getting to spend time with friends that are like family on Christmas Eve.

 Loving: the She Reads Truth advent study, so good! i also loved the thanksgiving study, which you should definitely check out!

    I'm reading through all these currently posts and seeing Gilmore Girls come up so often... I've never watched but think I better line this up on Netflix after all the good reviews :) Always nice to have a good show to cozy up with during these cold months. Thanks for linking up!

    Ellie Holcomb is my girl!! Love her music. I totally binge watch GG while I'm blogging! Love Lorelai ;) And I am so loving SRT's studies! I'm starting one with my middle school girls youth group in January! Love this, girls :)

Happy Wednesday! I hope you are all having a good week! Today I am linking up with Jenna and Anne for their currently linkup. You can read my post from last time here . So, here's what I am currently, reading, wishlisting, loving, appreciating, and creating.  Reading: Hebrews, The Nearness of God by Lisa Harper for my womens bible study. It's so good and just love her humor, if you haven't heard of her, she's great! Very similar to Beth Moore.  wishlisting: this mug from Rachel at Oh Simple Thoughts Etsy Shop which you should check out cause her stuff is so cute! And this Michigan art print from East West Design Company on Etsy.  l oving: The She Reads Truth Hospitality devotional plan. Currently Vol. 7

HEARTING:  The new cookbooks and baking books i got for Christmas this year. I made chocolate cupcakes with salted caramel frosting out  of Homemade Decadence by Joy the baker and they were so good!  READING: Catching up on some of my favorite blogs: Oh Simple Thoughts , Wetherills say I Do , and Dearest Love . Also reading the She Reads Truth Esther study.  PINNING: I pinned these cranberry white chocolate oatmeal cookies and i can't wait to make them this weekend! So there may be a recipe on the blog next week!  EATING: I made tomatoe basil soup for my friends and I the other night. It was so good and they loved it as well, which was a plus.  I just finished it yesterday.  ANTICIPATING: Going home for spring break in March, it will be nice to be home for a week. Four Tips for Creating Community through Blogging

1. Reach out to other bloggers:  this is an  essential when wanting to get into community. It can be as small as a comment on their blog, or an email. I have built relationships with other bloggers through email, commenting on their blogs, etc. For me it has been a beneficial thing, to create community in something that I really didn't know there was any.   This is a great post on why bloggers need community.  2. Join a blog group on Facebook, or some other social media group: I have joined the Peony Project on facebook which is a group for other christian bloggers. It's a great group and i would definitely recommend it!  3. Make meaningful comments: when I say meaningful comments I don't mean that you have to write a novel, but at least engage with the post somehow.
