That WE Might Have Hope

This, is a passage I love. 

"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.  For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all." 2 Corinthians 4:16-17 

This single passage has the power to change my perspective on life completely around. It reminds me that I am not alone in my hardships or struggle to live as Christ calls me. It reminds me that I was not made for this broken world and thus my reward and eternal peace will come in eternity. In that which I hope. 

Christ offers us a Crazy love. And lately God has been loving me like crazy. Even in the midst of tough circumstances, God is showing up just to say "I love you", "I'm here", "You are not alone in this", "I know it hurts, but trust me. This is for your good". These words are a great comfort to me and my broken heart. Words that remind me of the hope that is mine in Christ.  A hope to live in the presence of God eternally with my brothers and sisters. A hope for good things and a place where loss, tears, and sorrow are unknown. How I look forward to such a place. 

Sisters, we are BEYOND blessed by our great God. He made the ultimate sacrifice out of LOVE FOR US. That WE might have hope. 

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

    I'm not Christian, but I still agree with most of this. God wouldn't create us if he didn't love us, would he?!

    Beautiful! This is probably the best and most touching devotional I've read all week :)
    I hope you are ok. Talk about it with your Peony sisters if you need to. But I am so so glad that you are turning to God above all else!

Currently Vol. 7

HEARTING:  The new cookbooks and baking books i got for Christmas this year. I made chocolate cupcakes with salted caramel frosting out  of Homemade Decadence by Joy the baker and they were so good!  READING: Catching up on some of my favorite blogs: Oh Simple Thoughts , Wetherills say I Do , and Dearest Love . Also reading the She Reads Truth Esther study.  PINNING: I pinned these cranberry white chocolate oatmeal cookies and i can't wait to make them this weekend! So there may be a recipe on the blog next week!  EATING: I made tomatoe basil soup for my friends and I the other night. It was so good and they loved it as well, which was a plus.  I just finished it yesterday.  ANTICIPATING: Going home for spring break in March, it will be nice to be home for a week. Four Tips for Creating Community through Blogging

1. Reach out to other bloggers:  this is an  essential when wanting to get into community. It can be as small as a comment on their blog, or an email. I have built relationships with other bloggers through email, commenting on their blogs, etc. For me it has been a beneficial thing, to create community in something that I really didn't know there was any.   This is a great post on why bloggers need community.  2. Join a blog group on Facebook, or some other social media group: I have joined the Peony Project on facebook which is a group for other christian bloggers. It's a great group and i would definitely recommend it!  3. Make meaningful comments: when I say meaningful comments I don't mean that you have to write a novel, but at least engage with the post somehow. Currently Vol: 1

Today I am linking up again with Jenna of Dearest Love and Ann of In Residence for their currently linkup.
