Trust

Trust. Merriam Webster dictionary defines trust as--
assured reliance on the character, ability, strength, or truth of someone or something
one in which confidence is placed
dependence on something future or contingent : hope

I'm gonna be honest, sometimes this is hard. To trust in God with it all, to let go and not look back. To those of you who always need to be in control, this may feel heart stopping. But the truth is, it doesn't have to be.  When we put our trust in him, there is where we find rest. when we take God's hand and let him join us right where we are. This is where we put our hope in him and never look back.

So, This week Trust has been on my heart and mind.  I have Psalm 40:4 on my closet door, it says--
"Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust.." , this helps to remind me of the importance of putting my trust in him even when it's hard, even when it hurts, even when i feel like i can't let go. So i encourage you this week to put your trust in him and from that you will find rest for your soul.

The Wetherills Say I Do | Guest Post

Founders Note: Today on the blog we have one of our August sponsors Madison of The Wetherills Say I Do . She is also one of my blogging friends, I have enjoyed working with her this month and am excited to continue in the future, she is a sweet girl with a big heart for others and Jesus! Today She is sharing her heart on this months theme: Beauty in the Brokenness. So be sure to check out her blog at the links below! If you've ever heard a group of people share their testimonies, a lot of them have a common thread: brokenness. A lot of now believers had to come to a very low point in their lives before they had their breaking moment of calling out to Jesus. Have you ever wondered why that is? Why is it that so many of us have to hit rock bottom before we'll realize our infinite need for a Savior? I don't know the answer to that question, but I do know that in my darkest moments, I've seen the Lord hand out grace and turn brokenness into beauty. We all tend t...

A Note to Bloggers

Founders Note: Today on the blog we have one of our awesome monthly contributors and one of my dear blogging friends Kiki. Today she is sharing her heart on this months theme Rest, which if you didn't know ties right in with our mission statement of "Encouraging young women to find rest in God". So, go curl up in your favorite spot and be encouraged by her words. As bloggers, it's easy to feel the need to stay connected and constantly check, check, check. There's often a lot of pressure on bloggers (and non-bloggers alike) to stay up-to-date so we often mindlessly scroll through our feeds on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and the like. We have to read each post our friends publish and comment, comment, comment. We have to post at certain times to get the most likes and we have to send out those emails stat. And I'm not accusing you or any other blogger out there because I find myself doing that very thing more often than not. We like to keep busy and bu...
