I will talk about anything with anyone. I love hearing people’s stories, asking them questions, and discussing what we think about any given issue. I long for my words to be true and helpful and encouraging. Recently, I received some terrible news. My Mom basically told me that my words have been full of unrest lately. This really made me stop and think. She is one of my closest companions, so she gets to hear my uncensored thoughts. Her rebuke slammed hard aga

WEEKEND RECAP:  First I want to say thank you so much for all your prayers last week for my Grandma, out of respect for my family I'm not going to say anymore about it because it is a hard time right now. But do know that i appreciate all of your support and if you could continue to keep my Dad and the rest of my family in your prayers, i would appreciate that so much.  Other than the mentioned above, my weekend was good. It was nice to be able to rest and do some homework, even though i was worried about my family.  So here are some of my favorite links from last week and a recap of what was on the blog last week!  LINK LOVE:  Gold and Bloom How to Get Your Blog Posts Shared Strawberry Lemonade Summer Mocktail Not My Will Top Ten Mothers Day Gift Ideas WHAT YOU MAY HAVE MISSED: Week in Review Thankful for the Struggle Coffee Date // Highs and Lows How was Your Weekend?

Guest Post | Kayla Craig Adoption Story + Shop the Closet's Fundraiser.

Today we have Kayla Craig of Many Sparrows Guest posting about her shop the closet sale that will help raise money for her adoption. I am so glad that i can be apart of letting people know about a great cause, So be sure to check out more about Kayla at the links below .  E very morning, I stumble out of bed, grab my Coke-bottle glasses, and shuffle my way  across the hardwood floors into the kitchen. Our four-year-old waits patiently for his  oatmeal, and his hand always seems to find mine as I make breakfast in the early morning  hours. I pour myself coffee as our two-year-old, his bedhead just as wild as his little heart,  comes hustin’ out of his room. Motherhood, you guys. It’s chaotic and sleep-deprived and sweet and 100 kinds of awesome. I became a mom in a fashion that only God could create. I was a young, twenty-something  newlywed learning more about the world, and more about its creator, every day. We were  stumbly and we were

HIGH'S:  On Wednesday  I got to have dinner with two of my good friends, it was so fun! It has been such a blessing this semester to have dinner with them every week.  Last weekend i got to talk to my possible roomate for next semester, i am excited! she is so sweet! Be praying that it works out!  LOWS:  My Grandma is not doing well. She's in a nursing home now and she has heart problems. My parents are saying that it could be any day now, I will miss her but i know it will be okay. I feel bad that i can't be there but i know she would want me to finish the semester.  So just be praying for my Dad (as th

Founders Note: Today on the blog we have guest post from Samantha on this month's theme Gratitude. You can learn more about Samantha and her blog in the bio at the end of the post.  It’s true what they say, “the grass is always greener on the other side.” I’ve found myself countless times, wishing and hoping for things I don’t have. Some days, it’s so much easier to be unappreciative or ungrateful of my life. Some days, I wish for a more expensive home, a supermodel body, and a generous paycheck. I make a fuss about the little things, like where the toothpaste should go (I say cabinet, my husband says counter). I can get swept up in my own emotions, my wants and desires, so I start acting greedy and selfish. “Be joyful always, pray continually. Give thanks in all circumstances for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” -1 Thessalonians 16:18 It isn’t often, but when I have these moments, I feel completely disconnected with God. For a while, I questio

Wise Ladies Seek Him

Founders Note: Today on the blog we have our Monthly Contributor Buife.  Today's post was previously written and meant for an earlier month this year but somehow I missed it. But no worries because I definitely am making sure you ladies get to read these wonderful words from your sister today. Enjoy! - Hillary Psalm 14:1 says: The [empty-headed] fool has said in his heart, there is no God. (Amp.) When Jesus was born, some astrologers from the east of Judea, having seen the rising of His star, came to Jerusalem to seek Him. Some translations refer to these astrologers as wise men . The bible calls the man who says there is no God a fool; and we're told these 'wise men' journeyed to Jerusalem of Judea to seek Jesus because they believed that somewhere in that town, the King of the Jews was. April Theme: Gratitude

Happy April Friends! I don't know about you but the light snow falling outside of my window this morning really reminds me of how ready I am for rainstorms and flowers. Along with hopes of beautiful spring weather, today I am glad to inform you that April's theme is Gratitude. I hope that you will join us as we learn about gratitude and how to be thankful in all circumstances.  When I thought of this month's theme this verse immediately came to mind... Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.  1 Thessalonians 5:16-18  In honor of practicing gratitude despite circumstances, I hope that you will join me in making a list of what you are thankful for. I think that you will find even in the hardest of times, there is always something to be grateful for. I am thankful for... Good friends, babies, family, music, birds, sunshine, warm weather, a God who heals, joy, hope, muff
