This week there was a bad winter storm and as you can imagine the roads were covered in snow. The night after, I was driving home from work when all of the sudden I hit a thick patch of slush in the road. The slush sent my car furiously sliding toward the telephone polls. At that moment I was scared. The kind of scared that happens when you know something terrible is about to occur. I prepared myself for impact. Then, a split second later, I delicately turned the wheel away from the polls, eventually sliding my car to a stop. I sat there for a moment processing what happened and allowed myself to take a deep breath. Then I drove the rest of the way home while thanking God for keeping me safe. I felt so blessed to have a God who watches over me even when I'm not watching for Him. How GREAT is the love that God has for us.
