Currently Vol: 1

Today I am linking up again with Jenna of Dearest Love and Ann of In Residence for their currently linkup. You can read my post from last time here on my personal blog, then go over to Jenna or Anne's blog and linkup your post!

I usually linkup with my personal blog but I figured I would change it up a bit and also add a bit of variety to the Quiet Place. So here's what I'm currently writing, anticipating, wearing, craving, missing, and encouraged by.

Writing: a ton of notes, cause I am currently in Grad school.

Anticipating: Fall. I love how the leaves change and temperatures get cooler. Although, It's been pretty hot here in Virginia this week, so hopefully the fall weather will come soon!

Wearing: I have been loving my "love Michigan" t-shirt lately, it reminds me of home every time I wear it and I'm loving this fall outfit that I found on pinterest. I am hoping i can recreate it.

Craving: these crispy fried chicken sliders with buffalo sauce, they look so good! I may have to make these soon!
Missing: Summer days with my family. Don't get me wrong, I love it here in VA but there's nothing like a Michigan summer!

Encouraged by: Lately, I have been encouraged by the She Reads Truth Hosea study, I love how each day has spoken to my heart! God is definitely showing me a lot here!

What's on your currently list?
would you like more of these posts on here in the future?

Be sure to go over to Jenna or Anne's blog and link up!

  16. Counseling is a great major! I can imagine that it would be a tough one, but I also know that it will have a big pay off when you put it to use. :) You should post about some of your favorite books that you're reading along the way!

When I was in college I took a psychology class using materials from the Institute for Nouthetic Studies. I read some great books by Jay E. Adams and one by Richard Ganz as well. It's such an interesting and necessary topic. I'm excited to hear about Christians taking this part of life seriously!

The Wetherills Say I Do | Guest Post

Founders Note: Today on the blog we have one of our August sponsors Madison of The Wetherills Say I Do . She is also one of my blogging friends, I have enjoyed working with her this month and am excited to continue in the future, she is a sweet girl with a big heart for others and Jesus! Today She is sharing her heart on this months theme: Beauty in the Brokenness. So be sure to check out her blog at the links below! If you've ever heard a group of people share their testimonies, a lot of them have a common thread: brokenness. A lot of now believers had to come to a very low point in their lives before they had their breaking moment of calling out to Jesus. Have you ever wondered why that is? Why is it that so many of us have to hit rock bottom before we'll realize our infinite need for a Savior? I don't know the answer to that question, but I do know that in my darkest moments, I've seen the Lord hand out grace and turn brokenness into beauty. We all tend t...

Finding Comfort in the "Waiting Room"

Founders Note: Today's post is written by our new friend Brooke. Her blog is called "Living as a Single Gal". (you can find the link below) We've just discovered Brooke's blog and we look forward to unwrapping more of the great wisdom she has to share. Without further ado, here is her post... Imagine, if you will, that you are in a waiting room. The room is crowded; people standing, people on chairs, people sitting on the floor; this room is totally packed full. And all of these people are waiting. Waiting for what you may ask? That’s simple; love. You are standing in a corner with some of your girlfriends having some laughs. Then one of them gets called out of the room. Then another. Then another; another one bites the dust. One by one all of your single girlfriends are leaving the waiting room and finding true love. Not only are your friends leaving you, but the rest room seems to empty out significantly. And then there’s you. --...
