As I read the verses below this week I have been reminded that he will never leave me. The last part of the verse really tugged at my heart when I read it because it was a great encouragement to know that he will never leave me no matter where I go. That my dear sisters is so encouraging, rest in that for a moment. "For the Lord your God is a merciful God. He will not leave you or destroy you, or forget the covenant with your fathers that he swore to them". We must remember that he will never leave us or destroy us because his love is unchanging, it's not manipulative or deceitful, it's all consuming and unfailing love that he has for each and every one of us. As Isaiah 54:10 says, "Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed." No matter what, his love will not be removed. No matter what we are going through, God will be right there to pick us up out of the dust of life and lead us down the path that he has for us. The verse below reminds us of just that. I encourage you to find encouragement in the truth that this verse provides. Seek him with all your heart as you go throughout this week, and rest in the unfailing, unshaken love that God provides for us and know that he will never leave you.
Deuteronomy 4:28-31
But from there you will seek the Lord your God and you will find Him, if you seek after Him with all your heart and with all your soul. When you are in tribulation and all these things come upon you in latter days, you will return to the Lord your God and obey His voice. For the Lord your God is a merciful God. He will not leave you or destroy you, or forget the covenant with your fathers that He swore to them.
