This is a time of year where we are thankful for our family, friends, relationships, etc. It is a time where we think about those little things that we may take for granted, and thank God for the many blessings that he puts in our lives.
As i think about being thankful I am reminded of a hymn that we sing that church called, "Give Thanks". "Give thanks with a grateful heart. Give thanks to the Holy One. Give thanks because He's given Jesus Christ, His Son.." To me this song, is a great reminder of what it means to really give thanks.
Sometimes it's so easy to take those little things for granted, so sisters this week I encourage to give thanks for those people and the things that we so easily forget, "Give thanks with a grateful heart" That's what it's all about, rest in the truth of the words of this song this week.
"Give Thanks"
Give thanks with a grateful heart
Give thanks to the Holy One
Give thanks because He's given Jesus Christ, His Son
Give thanks with a grateful heart
Give thanks to the Holy One
Give thanks because He's given Jesus Christ, His Son
And now let the weak say, "I am strong"
Let the poor say, "I am rich
Because of what the Lord has done for us"
And now let the weak say, "I am strong"
Let the poor say, "I am rich
Because of what the Lord has done for us"
Give thanks with a grateful heart
Give thanks to the Holy One
Give thanks because He's given Jesus Christ, His Son
Give thanks with a grateful heart
Give thanks to the Holy One
Give thanks because He's given Jesus Christ, His Son
And now let the weak say, "I am strong"
Let the poor say, "I am rich
Because of what the Lord has done for us"
And now let the weak say, "I am strong"
Let the poor say, "I am rich
Because of what the Lord has done for us"
Give thanks
We give thanks to You oh Lord
We give thanks
