Grace is Forgiving

Founders Note: Today on the blog we have our Monthly Contributor Kiki, sharing her heart on this months theme: Grace.
grace
I've always loved the word grace. There's a certain beauty about that word and a certain peaceful quality about it, too. Maybe it's just the nerd in me, but I like words and grace is one of those words. But there's more to grace than just the sound that it makes when it leaves your mouth. There's much more to it. The word grace means life. It means faith. It means forgiveness.

I came across a quote on Pinterest the other day and it really stuck. I think it originated from another blogger and I couldn't shake the words out of the back of my mind. "Grace is forgiving. Grace is also for giving." Grace means forgiveness. It means mercy. It means wiping the slate clean when life gets messy. It means a fresh start. It means life, and Jesus, and so much more than I could ever fully grasp or understand.

Grace is amazing. And while it's an amazing thing for me to grasp, I also need to give some of it away. I can't just live thinking that I'm the only recipient of grace. Or that Jesus is the only giver of grace. Grace is free to give and free to receive. And it's not just forgiving. It's for giving, too.

  1. Love how you reminded us that we like to give grace but it's harder for us to give out. So very true. Thanks for that friend!

    1. I honestly find it hard to do both at times! Grace is tough, but it's something I couldn't do without. So grateful for friends and Jesus who remind me that grace is truly amazing. :)

    1. Isn't it a great post? I loved it the moment I saw it and knew instantly that it was meant to be shared. Grace is something I've definitely received a lot of over the years and am now just realizing I need to give away, too. You're definitely not alone in this, friend!

Today She is sharing her heart on this months theme: Beauty in the Brokenness. So be sure to check out her blog at the links below! If you've ever heard a group of people share their testimonies, a lot of them have a common thread: brokenness. A lot of now believers had to come to a very low point in their lives before they had their breaking moment of calling out to Jesus. Have you ever wondered why that is? Why is it that so many of us have to hit rock bottom before we'll realize our infinite need for a Savior? I don't know the answer to that question, but I do know that in my darkest moments, I've seen the Lord hand out grace and turn brokenness into beauty. We all tend t...

Finding Comfort in the "Waiting Room"

Founders Note: Today's post is written by our new friend Brooke. Her blog is called "Living as a Single Gal". (you can find the link below) We've just discovered Brooke's blog and we look forward to unwrapping more of the great wisdom she has to share. Without further ado, here is her post... Imagine, if you will, that you are in a waiting room. The room is crowded; people standing, people on chairs, people sitting on the floor; this room is totally packed full. And all of these people are waiting. Waiting for what you may ask? That’s simple; love. You are standing in a corner with some of your girlfriends having some laughs. Then one of them gets called out of the room. Then another. Then another; another one bites the dust. One by one all of your single girlfriends are leaving the waiting room and finding true love. Not only are your friends leaving you, but the rest room seems to empty out significantly. And then there’s you. --...

Directions: In a saucepan, saute the garlic and olive oil on medium heat for about 1 minute but be careful not to burn the garlic. Next, add the crushed tomato's, then the whole tomatoes one at a time, squeezing them into the pan to break them up. Also add...
