Coffee Date // Highs and Lows

Happy Friday! This week seemed to go by fast, and i can't believe i only have next week left of school and then the semester is over. I am excited about moving into my new apartment in June. So, today i am joining my good blog friend Jenna of Gold and Bloom for a coffee date where I am sharing my highs and lows from the week!
HIGH'S:

On Wednesday  I got to have dinner with two of my good friends, it was so fun! It has been such a blessing this semester to have dinner with them every week.

Last weekend i got to talk to my possible roomate for next semester, i am excited! she is so sweet! Be praying that it works out!

LOWS:

My Grandma is not doing well. She's in a nursing home now and she has heart problems. My parents are saying that it could be any day now, I will miss her but i know it will be okay. I feel bad that i can't be there but i know she would want me to finish the semester.

So just be praying for my Dad (as this as been really stressful for him, since it is his mom) And that she goes peacefully.
What are your Highs and lows from the week?

The Wetherills Say I Do | Guest Post

Founders Note: Today on the blog we have one of our August sponsors Madison of The Wetherills Say I Do . She is also one of my blogging friends, I have enjoyed working with her this month and am excited to continue in the future, she is a sweet girl with a big heart for others and Jesus! Today She is sharing her heart on this months theme: Beauty in the Brokenness. So be sure to check out her blog at the links below! If you've ever heard a group of people share their testimonies, a lot of them have a common thread: brokenness. A lot of now believers had to come to a very low point in their lives before they had their breaking moment of calling out to Jesus. Have you ever wondered why that is? Why is it that so many of us have to hit rock bottom before we'll realize our infinite need for a Savior? I don't know the answer to that question, but I do know that in my darkest moments, I've seen the Lord hand out grace and turn brokenness into beauty. We all tend t...

Four Tips for Creating Community through Blogging

1. Reach out to other bloggers:  this is an  essential when wanting to get into community. It can be as small as a comment on their blog, or an email. I have built relationships with other bloggers through email, commenting on their blogs, etc. For me it has been a beneficial thing, to create community in something that I really didn't know there was any.   This is a great post on why bloggers need community.  2. Join a blog group on Facebook, or some other social media group: I have joined the Peony Project on facebook which is a group for other christian bloggers. It's a great group and i would definitely recommend it!  3. Make meaningful comments: when I say meaningful comments I don't mean that you have to write a novel, but at least engage with the post somehow. Check out Madison's post on how to comment on blogs to find out more.  4. Plan a blogger Meetup : ...
