Do all Things through Him

I was reading a devotional tonight that was talking about the verses below in Philippians. Paul tells us here that no matter what he is going through, he can do it all by the strength that God gives him. Paul reminds us in verses 11-12 that whatever circumstances God hands us, whether they are easy or rough, or don't feel right, or make us want to cry. God is right there in the midst of it all, giving us the strength that we need to get through it. Paul pulls at my heart strings in verses sixteen to eighteen  when he says--"for when I was in Thessalonica, you sent me aid more than once when I was in need. Not that at I desire your gifts; what I desire is that more be credited to your account. I have received full payment and have more than enough". He reminds us here that he has more than enough and that God will take care of all of his needs, no matter what. Paul wraps it up in verse nineteen--"And my God will meet all  your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus". That's right my dear sisters, God will meet all of your needs not just some of them but all of them. And no matter what you may be going through God will provide for you the strength that you need to get through it, he will meet you right where you are at! so i encourage you this week to remember that God will provide for you no matter the situation and he will meet you right in the midst of it.

Here's a little snippet from the devotional--- "We serve a God who doesn’t just save us from our sin, doesn’t just redeem our life from the pit, He also says – “Hey, whatever life situation I hand you for the sake of my glory: if it’s plenty, if it seems like not enough, if it’s easy or rough – I’m going to give you the strength to get through it. Because I love and because that’s the best way for it to happen and you can trust Me.”--She Reads Truth.
  
Philippians 4:10-19
 10 I rejoiced greatly in the Lord that at last you renewed your concern for me. Indeed, you were concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it. 11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
14 Yet it was good of you to share in my troubles. 15 Moreover, as you Philippians know, in the early days of your acquaintance with the gospel, when I set out from Macedonia, not one church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving, except you only; 16 for even when I was in Thessalonica, you sent me aid more than once when I was in need. 17 Not that I desire your gifts; what I desire is that more be credited to your account. 18 I have received full payment and have more than enough. I am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent. They are a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God. 19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

HEARTING:  The new cookbooks and baking books i got for Christmas this year. Four Tips for Creating Community through Blogging

1. Reach out to other bloggers:  this is an  essential when wanting to get into community. It can be as small as a comment on their blog, or an email. I have built relationships with other bloggers through email, commenting on their blogs, etc. For me it has been a beneficial thing, to create community in something that I really didn't know there was any.   This is a great post on why bloggers need community.  2. Join a blog group on Facebook, or some other social media group: I have joined the Peony Project on facebook which is a group for other christian bloggers. It's a great group and i would definitely recommend it!  3. Make meaningful comments: when I say meaningful comments I don't mean that you have to write a novel, but at least engage with the post somehow. Blogging Goals 2015

It's a New Year and with that brings a new season of blogging.  I can't believe it's been two years since we started this blog. It's grown so much, and  I am excited to see where it goes this year as we continue to grow and change. This year I have some exciting new content in store for you all, which i will explain in more detail below. 1. Around The Table Linkup: This is a linkup that I am personally really excited about. It's going to be a linkup where there's a theme for each month, but I may do some months without a theme. Being Content

Content, As christian women we here that word more times than we can count, especially in a season of waiting. Content is defined as,   pleased and satisfied : not needing more.  Have you been in a season in your life where your feel like you are just waiting? Waiting for a new job, waiting for things to get better, waiting for marriage, etc. Whatever you are waiting for, sometimes it just seems like it's taking forever just like a long line at the grocery store.  When I think about being content, my thoughts instantly go to being content in my singleness. How many times have we heard the cliche lines like "just wait, God's got it" said by well meaning people, only to make you feel worse. There was a time in my life where it was so hard to hear all of those lines without just wanting to cry, because like I said it made me feel worse rather than better.  That is when I would get discontent in waiting,  sometimes I feel like i am in this never-endin
