Romans 8:27 says, " And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God". When I read this verse, the first part of it tugged at my heart. It says--"And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit", God searches our hearts and he knows exactly the plan that he has for us. He knows exactly what we need, when we need it. He always meets us right where we are at no matter what we are going through. Hebrews 4:10-11(The message) says it best when it comes to putting our heart to rest in God and trusting the plans that he has for us. It says-- "And so this is still a live promise. It wasn't canceled at the time of Joshua; otherwise, God wouldn't keep renewing the appointment for “today.” The promise of “arrival” and “rest” is still there for God’s people. God himself is at rest. And at the end of the journey we’ll surely rest with God. So let’s keep at it and eventually arrive at the place of rest, not drop out through some sort of disobedience." That's right sisters, God promises arrival and rest for each and every one us. He searches our hearts so that we can ultimately rest them in his the palm of his hands and let him take the pen for our life. When we come home at the end of the day, in him is where we should rest. Just as the second part of the verse says, And at the end of the journey we'll surely rest with God. So let's keep at it and eventually arrive at the place of rest" So sisters remember that when your struggling, feeling down, or just plain stressed, remember to put your heart to rest in God. And find the rest that we all so desperately need in him. Rest your heart in his love and in his word, let them be a sanctuary for your soul. Just as a song that we sing at my church says--"Lord Prepare me to be a sanctuary, pure and holy, tried and true. With thanksgiving I'll be a living sanctuary for you". Rest your heart my dear sisters as you go throughout your week.
