The Circle Linkup: Creativity

Once again we are joining are wonderful blogger friend and monthly contributor Kiki at her blog In it's Time for her linkup the circle. Be sure to link up with Kiki on her blog too! This month's theme is creativity, and she has asked us to answer three questions make a collage which is below--
Just some pictures from my summer/ one from my trip to South Africa in January of 2011 (all photos were taken by me, do not copy)

1.What does creativity mean to you?
To me creativity is, taking something that God is teaching me and putting it into words here on the blog or in my quiet time with him.

2. How do you stay creative? Who do you draw inspiration from?
I stay creative by looking at other blogs and drawing inspiration from what they write about and making it my own. Like I said in the first question, i draw inspiration from what God is teaching me and the little things that he brings to me each day.

3. What is a creative part of you that you don't share much on your blog (i.e. a talent, hobby, activity, passion, etc.).
Something that i don't share a lot about on my other blog, but  it is evident on this blog, is my passion for encouraging women. It breaks my heart to see how the world says women should be, and I long to see that perspective changed to the truth that each and every one of us is made in his image and that we are worth it to God always!

Comments

  1. I love that you have a passion for encouraging women. We are so in need of bold women who will speak into the place of vulnerability in our hearts and point us back to the Lord. I can tell even by this post that His heart is knit with yours and you seek to follow him in all you do, even in your creativity. Thanks for sharing and linking up with us :)

  2. I agree with you that women should be who they want to be and follow their hearts and dreams. Society shouldn't force them into a 'perfect' image. There isn't one, and I think people forget that sometimes.
It hurts me most when people say they aren't happy with how they look, when in my eyes they are perfect and every other person would envy them... I know I do...

Love who you are and go for what's in your heart :)
    Lovely post

Being Content

Content, As christian women we here that word more times than we can count, especially in a season of waiting. Content is defined as,   pleased and satisfied : not needing more.  Have you been in a season in your life where your feel like you are just waiting? Waiting for a new job, waiting for things to get better, waiting for marriage, etc. Whatever you are waiting for, sometimes it just seems like it's taking forever just like a long line at the grocery store.  When I think about being content, my thoughts instantly go to being content in my singleness. How many times have we heard the cliche lines like "just wait, God's got it" said by well meaning people, only to make you feel worse. There was a time in my life where it was so hard to hear all of those lines without just wanting to cry, because like I said it made me feel worse rather than better.  That is when I would get discontent in waiting,  sometimes I feel like i am in this never-endin

Four Tips for Creating Community through Blogging

1. Reach out to other bloggers:  this is an  essential when wanting to get into community. It can be as small as a comment on their blog, or an email. I have built relationships with other bloggers through email, commenting on their blogs, etc. For me it has been a beneficial thing, to create community in something that I really didn't know there was any.   This is a great post on why bloggers need community.  2. Join a blog group on Facebook, or some other social media group: I have joined the Peony Project on facebook which is a group for other christian bloggers. It's a great group and i would definitely recommend it!  3. Make meaningful comments: when I say meaningful comments I don't mean that you have to write a novel, but at least engage with the post somehow. Check out Madison's post on how to comment on blogs to find out more.  4. Plan a blogger Meetup : If you there
