1 Peter 1:18-19
"For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And the ransom he paid was not mere gold or silver. It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God."
In the last few weeks we have talked about resting in his price, seeing yourself as God sees you, how much we are worth it to God, and how we are God's handiwork. I got the verse above in my email the other day and ever since it has been on my heart and mind. The first part says, "For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors." That's right, we were bought with a price, just as the title of this post says. Jesus paid the ultimate price when he died on the cross just for us, cause sisters he knew you were worth it!
What really get's me is that he never once questioned weather or not he was going to go through with it, he easily could have just said who he was and the Romans would have let him go, but he didn't. He put his fears and doubts aside, and trusted in his heavenly father. The second part of 1 Peter 1:18-19 says it best, "And the ransom he paid was not mere gold or silver. It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless, Lamb of God." Stop and think about that, he paid the ultimate price for each and every one of us. He trusted in the plans that God had for him, and used them for God's glory.
So sisters, when you start thinking that you aren't worth it, or you feel lost. Remember what he did for each and every one of us, remember the sacrifice that he made, remember that you are worth it! You are precious in his sight my dear sisters, don't ever forget that!
