 A Message From Britney:
Today we turn One year old, I must say, that God has taken this blog places I never thought it would go. We have three awesome monthly contributors, Kiki, Charity and Kristy, you can find out more about them on our about page here. We also have had the pleasure of many guest posts, and getting to know some of our awesome readers. This blog wouldn't be possible without you the readers, we truly appreciate all your comments and encouraging words.

 As we begin another year of: "encouraging young women to find rest in God"  We pray that you are encouraged by the words on this blog, and the awesome women who write them.

A Message From Hillary:

 We're ONE! It's so exciting I CAN'T even believe it!

 God is doing AMAZING things. I could never have imagined the things that have happened in this first year of The Quiet Place. It just goes to show that when you give it to God he'll take it and run with it. God has been so faithful to us here and I am so thankful for that. This year has been one of growth, life change, and opportunity. I am so very honored to be apart of what God is doing. I pray that you always find encouragement here and that you are always pointed toward Christ.

Around The Table February \\ Favorite Soup Recipes

It's February and that means another around the table linkup, I am so excited to see where this linkup goes and the community it creates. This months theme is Favorite soup recipes, one of my favorite soup recipes is a Tomato Basil Soup recipe that I've had for a while now. I made it for my friends a couple weeks ago, and it was perfect with some bread that one of my friends brought. Ingredients: 3 cloves of garlic, minced 2 tablespoons of olive oil 2-14oz cans of crushed tomatoes 1-14oz can of whole tomato's 2 cups of stock (chicken or vegetable) 1 tsp of sea salt 1 tsp of sugar 1/2 tsp of fresh ground black pepper 1/4 cup of heavy cream 3 tablespoons of fresh basil Parmesan cheese for the top. Directions: In a saucepan, saute the garlic and olive oil on medium heat for about 1 minute but be careful not to burn the garlic. Next, add the crushed tomato's, then the whole tomatoes one at a time, squeezing them into the pan to break them up. Also add...
