An Unquenchable Love

Happy Valentines Day Friends!!!

I hope today that you take the time to show love to those around you and to rest in God's love for you.

Today I want to share with you all what is on my heart, and that is the unquenchable love that God has for you.

Let's start with a couple of verses...

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28

"Know this: my God will also fill every need you have according to His glorious riches in Jesus the Anointed, our Liberating King." Philippians 4:19

There are SO many verses in the Bible that tell of God's love for us. If you have trouble finding them, I encourage you to check out Psalms. I've been reading in the Psalms lately and I came to a realization of how much God tells us that he loves us in that book. Even more, it warms my heart to read the honest words of worshippers who came before me, who have been through things so much more difficult than I have been through. Reading their hearts yearnings for God, fills me up and moves my heart to love and worship Him.

So today, if you're feeling tired, lost, confused, or a little bummed because it's Valentines Day, soak up God's word and let him fill up your heart with unquenchable love.

Psalm 116

I love the Lord, for he heard my voice;
he heard my cry for mercy.
Because he turned his ear to me,
I will call on him as long as I live.
The cords of death entangled me,
the anguish of the grave came over me;
I was overcome by distress and sorrow.
Then I called on the name of the Lord:
“Lord, save me!”
The Lord is gracious and righteous;
our God is full of compassion.
The Lord protects the unwary;
when I was brought low, he saved me.
Return to your rest, my soul,
for the Lord has been good to you.
For you, Lord, have delivered me from death,
my eyes from tears,
my feet from stumbling,
that I may walk before the Lord
in the land of the living.
I trusted in the Lord when I said,
“I am greatly afflicted”;
in my alarm I said,
“Everyone is a liar.”
What shall I return to the Lord
for all his goodness to me?
I will lift up the cup of salvation
and call on the name of the Lord.
I will fulfill my vows to the Lord
in the presence of all his people.
Precious in the sight of the Lord
is the death of his faithful servants.
Truly I am your servant, Lord;
I serve you just as my mother did;
you have freed me from my chains.
I will sacrifice a thank offering to you
and call on the name of the Lord.
I will fulfill my vows to the Lord
in the presence of all his people,
in the courts of the house of the Lord—
in your midst, Jerusalem.
Praise the Lord.
