Megs Birthday Giveaway | Vera Bradley,Chaco's, Starbucks

Happy Friday sisters! August is a big month for giveaways here on The Quiet Place, with the launch of our newsletter last  week, if you haven't entered that giveaway yet be sure to do so here before it's over! You have three days left!

    I like the Ribbons and I love the plaid for Chacos. I wear Chacos quite often in the summer.

Around The Table February \\ Favorite Soup Recipes

It's February and that means another around the table linkup, I am so excited to see where this linkup goes and the community it creates. This months theme is Favorite soup recipes, one of my favorite soup recipes is a Tomato Basil Soup recipe that I've had for a while now. I made it for my friends a couple weeks ago, and it was perfect with some bread that one of my friends brought. Ingredients: 3 cloves of garlic, minced 2 tablespoons of olive oil 2-14oz cans of crushed tomatoes 1-14oz can of whole tomato's 2 cups of stock (chicken or vegetable) 1 tsp of sea salt 1 tsp of sugar 1/2 tsp of fresh ground black pepper 1/4 cup of heavy cream 3 tablespoons of fresh basil Parmesan cheese for the top. Directions: In a saucepan, saute the garlic and olive oil on medium heat for about 1 minute but be careful not to burn the garlic. Travel Essentials

RelayRides  recently contacted us and wanted us to share our travel essentials. RelayRides is a peer to peer sharing car rental service that takes community into account when renting cars. You can also get airport car rentals as an option for people coming and going from the airport. So be sure to check out that as well on their site.
