Currently: Vol 3

Today I am linking up again with Jenna of Dearest Love and Ann of In Residence for their currently linkup. You can read my post from last time here and another currently post here. So here's what I'm currently, smelling, loving, planning, baking ,celebrating, and encouraged by.

Smelling: loving the autumn smells, and the mango candle that is currently in my room, it reminds me of summer!

Loving:  this girls blog, and this girls blog, I have so enjoyed getting to know them through emails and reading their awesome blogs, the blogging community is truly a blessing!

Planning: hopefully doing a girls night with some of my friends, and I just found a bible study to join, which is something that I have been wanting to do since I moved here to VA in January.

Baking: I made these brownies last week, they were good. But I must say that I do like my from scratch recipe better. Also I really want to make these, they look so good!

Celebrating: being done with presentation #2 for the week!

Encouraged by:  Once again I have been encouraged by yet another #Shereadstruth study, this study on opening your bible. I loved how each day spoke right to me.

Excited for: My family coming here for thanksgiving, since it's too far for me to go back to Michigan.

What's on your currently list?

The Wetherills Say I Do | Guest Post

Founders Note: Today on the blog we have one of our August sponsors Madison of The Wetherills Say I Do . She is also one of my blogging friends, I have enjoyed working with her this month and am excited to continue in the future, she is a sweet girl with a big heart for others and Jesus! Today She is sharing her heart on this months theme: Beauty in the Brokenness. So be sure to check out her blog at the links below! If you've ever heard a group of people share their testimonies, a lot of them have a common thread: brokenness. A lot of now believers had to come to a very low point in their lives before they had their breaking moment of calling out to Jesus. Have you ever wondered why that is? Why is it that so many of us have to hit rock bottom before we'll realize our infinite need for a Savior? I don't know the answer to that question, but I do know that in my darkest moments, I've seen the Lord hand out grace and turn brokenness into beauty. We all tend t...

Four Tips for Creating Community through Blogging

1. Reach out to other bloggers:  this is an  essential when wanting to get into community. It can be as small as a comment on their blog, or an email. I have built relationships with other bloggers through email, commenting on their blogs, etc. For me it has been a beneficial thing, to create community in something that I really didn't know there was any.   This is a great post on why bloggers need community.  2. Join a blog group on Facebook, or some other social media group: I have joined the Peony Project on facebook which is a group for other christian bloggers. It's a great group and i would definitely recommend it!  3. Make meaningful comments: when I say meaningful comments I don't mean that you have to write a novel, but at least engage with the post somehow. Check out Madison's post on how to comment on blogs to find out more.  4. Plan a blogger Meetup : ...
