Me & My Sister |
Founders Note: Today on the blog I am finally posting something I wrote a few weeks ago. This month has been SO busy and God has placed SO much on my heart to share with you that it has taken some time to get to it AND being the perfectionist that I am, I felt the need to note the time lapse. Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy what I have written... :)
Reflecting on this past weekend's events I am feeling so very blessed to have such a wonderful community of people to surround me. As I supported my sister this weekend at her baby shower, I was running around like crazy trying to get things done and help everything go smoothly during the party. It was so rewarding to have that time to celebrate a new baby in the family with the love and support of are family and friends. It was touching to receive the generosity from the people that surround my family in many different settings on daily basis. Having that time together with everyone that supports my sister and her growing family in the same place was beautiful and so special.
And I believe times like this is exactly what God intended for us. He intended for us to love on each other and provide for each other, to offer one another advice and solace. To walk alongside each other just so that one can know the presence of the other. How beautiful of a design God gave us when he made us to live together. For that I feel utmost-fully grateful.
Psalm 133:1-3
How good and pleasant it is when God’s people
live together in unity! It is like precious oil poured on the head, running
down on the beard, running down on Aaron’s beard, down on the collar of his
robe. It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there the
Lord bestows his blessing, even life forevermore.
Acts 4:32-35
All the believers were one in heart and mind.
No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared
everything they had. With great power the apostles continued to testify to the
resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in
them all that there were no needy persons among them. For from time to time
those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales and
put it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to anyone who had need.
