The Humbleness Effect

I have come to find that humility is something quite beautiful. It's a quiet beauty, like a spring rainfall or calm waters. Yet, humility has great power. I have found that a truly humble person is greatly noticed, and causes onlookers minds to spark with curiosity, and conviction. 

I'll be the first to admit that I am not the most humble person. I definitely have my pride moments. 
But that all dissipates when I spend time in the presence of my God. Nothing is hidden from him. He knows all things including the lacing of my heart. I cannot hide my frailties. And that is truly humbling. This is "The Humbleness Effect". God is THE humbler, his presence reminds us that we are capable of no good thing on our own. We NEED God with a great desperation. And when we are humbled we rely on him for every waking moment, as we should, as we need to, and as God wants us to. And when we are walking with God like that, who can stop us from sharing his mercy, grace, and hope with everyone who might believe and be saved. 

Its easy to feel full of yourself in front of people who see one side of you. But it is a much different thing to stay in the presence of God who knows everything you think and do. Sisters, its okay, sit in God's presence, and let him humble you. I hope and pray it changes your life for the better.

    Being humble comes so easy for my husband. He is such a giver. I think asking God to humble me seems scary. I don't know what method or trail, He will send my way to accomplish this. Thanks for the poignant thoughts. ;)
