Digging in The Word

So Today one of my favorite online devotional communities turns one. First I just want to thank the women of the she reads truth community, which has taught me personally to dig deeper into the word. Today I just want to share about what God is doing in my life and how since discovering the she reads truth community my faith has grown in so many ways. I first discovered she reads truth during the fresh start plan and as i started reading it on my phone or in my email. I was challenged to dig deeper into God's word. Also around that time my best friend and I decided to start this blog, "The Quiet Place". The Hosea plan taught me a lot about myself and how sometimes I fail to trust God by running from the plans that he has for me to my own plans. This year God has taught me that i need to trust him in everything and that no matter where I go or what I do he will be right there with me every step of the way. Around The Table February \\ Favorite Soup Recipes

It's February and that means another around the table linkup, I am so excited to see where this linkup goes and the community it creates. This months theme is Favorite soup recipes, one of my favorite soup recipes is a Tomato Basil Soup recipe that I've had for a while now. I made it for my friends a couple weeks ago, and it was perfect with some bread that one of my friends brought. Ingredients: 3 cloves of garlic, minced 2 tablespoons of olive oil 2-14oz cans of crushed tomatoes 1-14oz can of whole tomato's 2 cups of stock (chicken or vegetable) 1 tsp of sea salt 1 tsp of sugar 1/2 tsp of fresh ground black pepper 1/4 cup of heavy cream 3 tablespoons of fresh basil Parmesan cheese for the top. Directions: In a saucepan, saute the garlic and olive oil on medium heat for about 1 minute but be careful not to burn the garlic. Next, add the crushed tomato's, then the whole tomatoes one at a time, squeezing them into the pan to break them up. Also add...
